We came home from a night of horse camping to see a crazy amount of smoke- and the worst winds I've seen in a long long time. 50-60 mph gusts (maybe even more), blowing the furniture off my deck....
The fire's across the highway, and we aren't (and probably never will be) ever in the path of any fire. Thankfully, but eek.

It's in an area of nice homes on acreage. The gal who was trying to buy our farm boarded her horse up there. Since the trailer was still hooked up, we drove by- seeing if her or anyone else needed help, since it. No one is allowed in. I didn't see any horses where I normally see them- but I did see a truck and trailer hitched up, but not moved. Most horses up there are out on pasture- I hope they are ok. We were there only 2 hours after smoke was initially spotted. It's moving very quick :(
They've got lots of helicopters around- and none of us see the fire- they say it is fast moving. We could see where it as already burnt. With winds this high and conditions this dry....
Can you send some jingles for the horses, and that the winds may die down? Otherwise, a heck of a lot of damage is going to be done.
