That's it, I'm done with Ariat half-chaps (second pair that has fallen apart at the seems). I remember from my earlier post that Tredstep was highly recommended, but am wondering which model I should go for.
Any input?
I am leaning towards Deluxe or Trimline...

I have the Deluxe ones and really love them :)

That said, one of the snaps down by the ankle broke on mine not long after I got them, but otherwise they've been wonderful and I luuuurve them. :)

Thanks. I am reading the reviews on the Smartpak site and it seems like snaps breaking is fairly common. I'm still shopping around...

I have the Deluxe and really love them. Mine are a little big on me because I got them off eBay (new for $80), but are very comfortable and have held up really well for a year of riding now. The snaps are a pain to unsnap, and I am worried they will go at some point soon, but it's not as annoying as Ariat zippers going; at least I can live without snaps.

I saw someone wearing the Trimline and they looked fabulous on her. I actually went up and petted them after she had taken them off and hung them up in the tack room... the leather was soooo soft and nice. I want a pair next.

Love my Tredsteps.
I have had a pair of 'Original' Tredsteps for 10 years.

The only thing that I have replaced is the elastic under the foot.
Snaps and zippers are great.
The back seams are now starting to split.
I could have them stitched, but decided to splurg and and so I have ordered a brand new pair.
The best thing is that the sizing has many choices. It's almost like 'custom' sizes.
I am petite...wear the '14/14' in Tredstep, and I have never found a pair of Ariats that fit me properly.
