Just viewed the broker owned pages today. Nice group of horses this week with very reasonable prices!

CALLING TB PEOPLE!- Last horse on Page 4! Tattoo starts with an F.16 hands. Dark Bay with white markings. Very cute guy. HE IS RACING FIT! so he is right off the track. needs some weight and to get out of that situation! $650

Last page (page 5) there is a chestnut AQHA gelding with 4 high white stockings and a blaze. Doesnt get much flashier or cute than that! He was foaled in 2002. Looks like a great horse. very, very cute! Reg name and # is:
Smokin Skip Cross AQHA 4227542 Asking $925

The 6th horse down is a bay mare. My favorite this week!!!!!!!Very flashy, well built mare. legs look clean in the photos. Shes very very pretty. Nice head and neck on her. Big bodied and nice sraight clean legs. Very flashy girl. shes my favorite out of all the listing this week! 4 white feet with a star and snip. reminds me of the TB we helped save last week! She was born in April of 2003 and her reg name and # are:
Lucky Rips Grace #4337140

I believe she is an AQHA. Very very pretty mare. someone please snatch her up! Asking $825

The next one is 9th one down. i really liked this Steel Grey 3 year old reg AQHA. nicely put together mare. AQHA Docs Bee Sassy Clark AQHA #4113830 foaled 5-22-05. Shes very cute and looks nice and quiet and saintly for a 3 year old. Bring her home and make her a project. shes not thick like a typical AQHA. Asking $1,000.

There is a paint mare above that steel grey that is very cute. love her face. She's black and white. APHA reg. born in '05. $900.00

4th page-2nd horse down. Currently listed as PENDING-HOPE. Does not mean this one is sold yet. FLASHY chestnut thoroughbred gelding. Nice big white blaze and 4 knee high stockings. very flashy boy.Looks like he needs a meal and some serious weight but i think he'll look fantastic with some TLC. $400.00!!!

I'm not a fan of color horses but the chestnut Appy filly (4th page, 3rd horse down) is adorable!! What a cute face! Shes over a year old, will grow in to herself and you can bring her along in any direction! $500.00

4th page-5th horse down. WARMBLOOD LOVERS LOOK AT HIM! Not sure what breed this guy is but he looks very much like a warmblood to me. very big boddied. legs look great. looks nice and quiet. Well put together, great head and neck on him. 15.3-16hh. $1,500. Hes very cute!

4th page-8th horse down. Prett paint mare. Like i said im not a fan of color but i really like how shes put together. looks like she'd be a nice family horse and shes also a proven broodmare as the link to a photo of her and her foal has been found. she is very cute. $950

4th oage-2nd horse from bottom- NOW THAT IS A FAMILY HORSE! very big boddied adorable chestnut. shown in photos roping a blue barrel and dragging it around. i just love the look of him. very very adorable guy.

CALLING TB PEOPLE!- Last horse on Page 4! Tattoo starts with an F.16 hands. Dark Bay with white markings. Very cute guy. HE IS RACING FIT! so he is right off the track. needs some weight

ID'd him on the racing board, I think.

"Little Big Moon"

Might want to check over there, but looks like the same horse to me.

I looked on their available horses page and boy do they want quite a bit for pretty much back yard horses. $1,500 for a horse that goes eh under saddle? $2,500 for a fugly pony ridden bareback? I get it is an unusual breed but come on.

Prices go all over the place there. Depends on which pages you're looking at. The Available Horses pages are adoptions or sales directly from AC4H. The Consignment Pages are horses consigned through there. The Broker's Pages are the horses mentioned in this post. Those are horses owned by area brokers who run the horses through the auction at New Holland or sell directly to the meat buyers once per week. AC4H offers to list them for the brokers on their website at the broker's prices in hopes of finding interested buyers before the horses get run through that particular auction or most likely get sold directly to feed lots.
As with any auction or dealer purchase, you have to be a little savvy in buying.
Last September I bought a 5 year old registered AQHA gelding, conformationally correct, excellent ground manners, extremely well ranch broke and trained for his age, safe/sane/sound for $600.
Depending on the area people are from...well, in CT even in a crappy economy you can't touch a registered sound riding horses under the age of 20 for less than $1000. Finding a grade horse at that price if safe/sane/sound and rideable is also next to impossible.
I could have put the word out the day after I bought him and gotten an easy $3500-$4000 for him within a week in my neck of the woods.
Good brain on him too...took me all of 3 weeks to get changes on him down pretty solid.
So far only drawback in him is he likes to steal brooms and walk around carrying them.

It's like any business - those horses are worth what people will pay for them. My AC4H broker horse arrived Monday night and while I thought he was overpriced, I still paid it because I wanted the horse. I'm glad I did, he's so freaking cute! He's the brightest eyed little horse and I swear he walks around with this big smile on his face. Just adorable and huge personality. I don't know where he was between the track and New Holland but he was someones spoiled rotten pet. I can't wait to start playing with him after the quarantine period. I like the Tbs listed this week, hope someone takes them home!

Any ASB people who can help those poor animals in the direct to slaughter pen? I would be willing to chip in if someone could rescue them.

I posted the ASB's last week on trot.org and no one is interested. One 3 year old already went to slaughter, just makes me sick he was really nice. Two new ASB's posted today too. I guess Amish are getting rid of the old worn out horses and getting new ones for Winter, just makes me ill. I'd chip in too if anyone is interested in these horses.

Quarantine then the shipper's name far right it should have a red P (pending) and name of adoptee. Good found a home...now we have to find more homes. If there is red in the far right means they have a home. Look for A=available.

I just can't keep my eyes off that asb pinto gelding. If it was in the budget I would take him home and put him in training for DD.

Someone needs to take him home before DH gets a suprise that I got another horse and we need to take on another job to put him in training:eek:.

According to the thread on the racing forum the original owner/trainer is buying him back, iirc.

Oh if it hadn't been for us paying off the remaining loan balance on the car last week. I would have had extra money in the bank to play with. We kinda wanted to get out of debt going into winter. So unless this weeks paychecks are better than usual:lol:. I wouldn't be able to pull anything off until the end of the month:no:.

Sadly I could easily make room for another. I already even talked to the trainer about him (she told me to go for it).

The pinto ASB mare found a home hoping to see someone jump on the ASB pinto gelding now.

Bumping for the gorgeous pinto. Any anonymous benefactors that want to pay for him and ship him to my house, I won't get mad.

These horses definitely need saving. Some really nice ones have gone to slaughter. Definitely plan on quarrantine if you get one of these though.
