Somebody did it!! I just don't know who. Maybe I hit it on accident cause someone at the arab farm I'm working for now didn't tell me where it is located.....

Well, that is the only explination I can come up with any way. The 3 Yo Stud I'm getting under saddle is coming along so wonderful then I pull him out of his stall the other day to find that he SOME HOW split his hind left hoof on the inside at just about the heel up to the quick. So, ooookay, fine; time off for you.

So, I move on to the mare. All looks well, then half a circle on the lunge line BAM she is lame. On closer inspection it looks as though she tweeked somthing during wahoo turnout play time. Ok, I will just move on to the filly...

But alas, little filly decided that since it had been a cool evening she didn't need to drink as much water and now has a tummy ache; at this point I give up.

So, again, I ask; who found and hit the self destruct button?

Given the couple of weeks I've had, I'd wager someone in my barn.

Sorry bout that.

I know exactly how you feel.

It's the people in my barn that are destructing-we have...3? broken limbs, one pancreatitis, one gallstones, and one torn lumbar muscle. There are only four of us left lol.

SEE!!! SOMEONE HIT THE BUTTON!!! LOL!!!

We are all just getting over the nastiest cold ever here; for a while we couldn't carry on a conversation for all the hacking and nose blowing. But Grataan !!!! WOW, remind me to stay away from your barn!! ;) That is some tough times for you guys!

Oh we're ok. I should note that none of the injuries were horse related, one fell while hiking, one playing soccer, and one unfortunate bicycle accident. But the horses are for the most part totally stoked about all the time off and turnout lol!

Can I join in too?

I've been out at the barn every night for the past 10 days. Horsie is getting sounder and sounder after equicast last Monday (fee free to read thread on nightmare BF transition). Yay! Last night was the first night that I dealt with the other critters and chores but didn't actually lay hands on Mr. Gimp. Tonight, I pull him in for a light ride AND HE'S POPPED A SPLINT!:eek::eek: :eek:Playing in the field! He's feeling better and has been roughhousing with his buddy and has a splint that's huge! And to top things off, he has ringworm on his butt! Mr. Gimp King now has fungus butt. This was a source of much amusement among the other human. Me, not so much. Sigh..:no::no::no:

Grataan; I rarely see any actual horse related injuries any more! LOL, when someone says to me it was their horse I just look confused.

Jen S.; OH my goodness!! What a PITA!! That wahoo play time is always when they find something to do to themselves!! I swear they could be wrapped in bubble wrap...
