OMG! What a truly gorgeous animal! The picture of him on the adoption page does not even begin to do him justice. He is also listed in the trainer's listing and those pics do not do him justice either.

My neighbor and I went over to see him yesterday as her MIL owns the horse and would give him to her if she wants him otherwise he is up for adoption to an approved home. I haven't seen a horse in years that I would consider buying but the notion is there. I'm hoping my neighbor does decide to take him just so I can see him in her pasture. :)

He's a 9 yr old grey gelding about 17 hands with so much presence it's unbelievable. You can tell just by watching him that he knows he pretty hot stuff. :D Now I admit that I'm a HUGE sucker for a grey. But if this horse were a plain bay or chestnut with absolutely NO white markings he's still exude that presence. We just watched him loose in their indoor and he has a very lovely long free walk and trot :) and a very nice soft canter :) as well as a few bucks! :D

So, there are a ton of lovelies on the trainer's listing and I hope a lot are up for the upcoming auction as well. So COTHers please try to support the October 11 Finger Lakes auction. I hope to see and meet a lot of you. :) :)

I will be very surprised if he stays in the AP very long. I haven't drooled over a horse in years. And, as Louise knows, I need another horse like another hole in my head! :D

I didn't check out Tring Prospector but I did open and see My Brother John earlier. Cute guy! :D

Anyone looking for a husband or friend horse or a kid's horse might want to check out Ernie Applesauce on Finger Lakes training list.

Aw, you made me look at him and he's just as cute as can be and he is probably a horse I should buy rather than consider the big grey.

He reminds me of the 26 yr old appy, Sundown, a friend gave me to keep one of my horses company as long as I rode the appy. Sundown was the unflappable, babysitter and great trail horse. I used to hack him out about 2-3 times/wk. Mostly we'd just walk and enjoy the countryside. :) He'd consider doing ring work but only for about 2 days/month. :D

Aww msj nice pic. I'm a sucker for a pretty grey too..... though being mom to a big grey TB, perhaps I am biased!

Love Ernie Applesauce too! He's adorable.

First Crack, Pressaway and Power of Music are nice mares and that Word Spinner is just lovely! There is also a black gelding that looked like he could be nice, pasterns look long but so do toes. A number are very nice. I sure hope they find good homes.

Ooooo, I've been drooling over Silver Cavalier for the past week since I saw him. He's a beauty!

I also really like Word Spinner and My Brother John! (Yes, I have a thing for grays...although I own a bay, lol).

Well, both my neighbor and I came to our senses about Silver Cavalier. She knows she doesn't have time to ride another horse as she has 2 already and a 3 yr old to be broken making it 3 for her shortly and I don't even ride anymore.

I'm sure he will go to a good home though.

BeastieSlave - I try to not look at the trainers listing or the horses at the adoption center period because I am such a sucker and would take in the thin and broken ones. I need another horse like another hole in my head. Problem is that I have 2 empty stalls and, being retired, I have the time to take care of 2 more besides the 2 I have. I just don't want the extra expense and I don't need to fill the stalls with boarders either.

World Spinner is lovely. I love his shoulder and his butt (as we say in technical horse terminology:lol:).

Someone needs to grab El Hurrecan. Only $600 and he's really cute. My vet and I were just discussing the advantages of a smaller horse.

Clint here is the link to the trainer listings.

kcmel, thanks for the link, I think. I promptly fell in love with My Brother John. I guess it will have to stay from afar as I'm on the wrong coast, but oh my, he is adorable.

Pressaway seems to be a real sweetheart. She was so good for her pictures -- about as far away from "chestnut mare syndrome" as possible.

And, I suspect that the only reason that El Hurican is still listed is that we had an old phone number up. He's a cutie, and the trainer that has him loves all of her horses so much.

Yes, she is gorgeous and is a very classy gal. Her owner/trainer takes very good care of her horses and it shows. Please give her serious consideration.

It sounds to me like you need to fill your stalls! I picked up 2 FL beasties last year. I'm nowhere near as close to them as you are and I didn't need mine either
