I have a friend who is trying to find a good home for a little Oldenburg mare. I say "little" because she is in the 15+ range - small for a an Oldenburg from what I understand.
This mare has a rare injury to her navicular bone (a hairline fracture) - and needs about a year in a small paddock only - absolutely NO RIDING until then. This is a fresh injury and she was seen by a leg specialist who gives her a good prognosis as long as she takes it easy for the next year while she finishes growing and it heals. She appears sound now but the vet warned that this injury will heal only with proper care. She will of course be perfectly sound for breeding once this is healed.
If you are interested at all please email me...I don't have too much time to check the boards (I'll try to at least once a day though). If you are serious about knowing more I will give you the contact information. This friend doesn't even have a computer (gasp) so I told her I'd network for her.
Thanks,
