I have that magical once in a lifetime saint that everyone is looking for. He is a 14.2h gelding who knows his job, and is as bomb proof as there is. I've even seen him kicked square in the chest with a rider aboard and he took it without a flinch. He is a senior, but age is not exactly known. He is completley sound, and only started his fences career a couple of years ago, so joints have lots of years ahead of them. He is an absolute packer for crosrails or short stirrup. He will do begginers on the lunge line.

His only issue is he can NOT have hay. He keeps very well on a scoop of low starch feed and 4 pounds of soaked t/a or alfalfa cubes or beet pulp.

He will go with a contract and will require references.

Where in SC are you? Passing this thread along to my best friend, a fellow COTH'er, who has a young daughter. The lease on their packer pony will be up at the end of the year, so they will be looking. Minor issues like special feed shouldn't be a prob. Pony would have an excellent home, and she can provide lots of good references.

I know this is an older message and this pony may well have been placed by now. I'm looking for something for my 11 yo son, timid rider. We've managed multiple ponies before, including one w/ Cushings, so odd feeds and meds are nothing new( as well as NO grass). We're in Aiken. If he's taken could you pls let me know. Thanks.
