I have a super sweet gelding that has been hanging out and would really love a home where he was the center of attention. He is sound and LOVES to work, really thrives on it. We don't ride him very often. He's a great babysitter for my foals and gets along well with geldings and mares alike (would not like to be an only horse). Ran ran out a good bit of money at 2 & 3 and had an illness with fever that resulted in founder in both front feet at 4 (I think). Owner took him home to the farm and they rehabbed for a year, he was back in race training for 18 months and really sound, but no longer as fast.

Retired as they refused to risk losing him at the claiming level and he has been with me since, 5 years I think. No maintenance and my vet wasn't concerned about the films in the least, but he wears plain steel shoes in front since we grow rocks at my place. He has settled a lot, but would excel as a light riding horse for someone with OTTB experience (probably not a husband horse). We have hacked him in the arena and he has jumped some (little Xs) with me and my 12 year old son. Happy in a stall or turned out, he comes and goes as he pleases here. He is 16.2, chestnut with a blaze and four tall stockings. Trainer sent him with 5lbs of peppermints when he came here and everyone just wants a loving home for him.
