TwoMares

So I keep talking to my none horsey husband about this and he just doesn't get my excitement. I bred my mare for a '09 foal and with much anxiety and excitement on what I would get I am so proud. She gave me a beautiful (almost) black filly and in the eyes of mom she is perfect. My mare is a MMB OLD approved TB and I was skeptical on breeding her, for she does carry some TB trends that I worried about. However I love her dearly and knowing that the baby would be a keeper I went ahead and did it. I bred her to a new stallion with no babies to compare to, but I LOVE him so I decided to take the risk.
Well I couldn't be happier with my little filly. She is super calm and easy going, actually one of the most relaxed foals and even horses I have ever met (ok mom didn't pass on her insane TB mare attitude !!) I am happy with her conformation and her movement is to DIE for. I have the utmost confidence she will make a wonderful armatures dressage horse for ME!
I took her to a few DSHB shows this summer and was thrilled how well she did. Scoring in the mid 70's with wonderful judges comments. We struggled trotting in hand at her age, like I said she is as calm as ever. She was simply happy jogging next to me and didn't show off her reach as much as I would have liked. Too bad you can't show DSHB free like at inspections.
I would love any opinions on her, I know I am blinded by the "mom" factor and I am not looking to sell or go to the Olympics with her....maybe 4th level would be fun some day!
She is by Versache (by Olympic Ferro out Olivia by Idocus Crown) and my TB Mare Queen of De Nile by Majesterian)
