Does anybody else think it totally sucks that the WEG Dressage and Dressage at Devon are going on at the same time? I was hoping to compete at Devon next year and I also planned on watching the WEG.

Yeah, I think they should move the dates for Devon.

Huh, I wonder how that would affect the performance (and possibly breed) show attendance next year?

Maybe if enough of us got together to ask that they change the dates for Devon to the next week or later? Although then you are after Sept. 30, the end of the USDF year.

That is a conflict...is there anyway they could move Devon up a week or two?

WEG also conflicts with the Keenland yearling sale; I wonder if they considered all of this when scheduling?

WEG doesn't actually "conflict" with the Keeneland sale - the two have nothing to do with each other, other than creating a housing nightmare for attendees of either... The racehorse folks don't care about WEG (well, not in the sense that we do), and the WEG folks won't be shopping at the yearling sale, so no conflict. Though folks attending WEG might enjoy going to the sales when 'their' sport is not in session...

I was talking more about the housing...a lot of the rooms are booked, without factoring in WEG.

i hope it doesnt move up a week or 2.. but more because down here in rewgion 3 we have our shows and championships every year.. let it move to labor day weekend or august..
