I bought this mare a few months ago and she's basically my dream horse. She's gorgeous (both color wise and conformation wise), she's an amazing mover, and she's quiet and she adores people. I backed her for the first time last week and she was one of those "born broke" horses (so far anway, I don't want to jinx us!) I have to say, I've read about many other quiet, easy Sempatico babies on here and my girl is no exception! She was more interested in eating treats than the fact that I was sitting on her. I had my ground person lead us around, and she did great. Since then I've ridden her two more times - the second was the same (halter and ground person) and we worked on walk-halt-walk-halt. The third time was with a bridle and I was alone and she did so well. She's totally confused, and totally trying to be good and figure out what I want!
Photos of the first ride here - haha, look at the confused look on her face in some of these pics:

Her name is Whisper and she's out of a West Coast mare, and I'm in love.

Congratulations! She's cute! I can't wait until mine turns 3! We've got another year and a half to go. Can't wait to see pictures as she progresses. I'm not sure if you do Facebook or not, but there is a SempaticoM page on there and on the "fans" page many of us have posted up pictures of your Sempatico's.

First picture - "uhhh what are you doing up there, really?
Third picture - "WTH??"

She is lovely!

Thanks Katy! (Side note, sorry I didn't make it to the show, how did it go?)
And you definitely pinned it stoicfish.... WTH??? But she was fine with everything... and the ears are definitely priceless haha! Personally, I like the shot where they are completely sideways.

He was high as a kite!! My trainer who was a judge there told me he just needs mileage and he will be fabulous! I've definitely got to get him out more!
There are pics in my profile link.....

Oh, she's a real cutie!
Of course, she wanted me to remind you that at 3 years old, she's still a filly (not a mare)!

I've always been taught that until age 2 they are fillies and colts, age 3 and up they are mares, geldings, stallions. On the topic of the thread, I rode her again today - her fourth ride - and she couldn't have been quieter or better! I'm in love!

Awesome. That's such a scary feeling the first time you actually throw a leg over a youngster - but I love it! :)

Congrats she looks great. Since the thread is started, had to post my 3 yo Sempatico gelding. This video is after 5 days of ground work and less than 2 weeks under saddle. He is amazing. I have to say though, the mare he is out of has produced amazing babies so it is a great combination. You may want to turn off/down the volume when you play this!
