Hello everyone- I have a bunch of vet bills and I can not afford to keep my rescue/project mare. Her name is Sophie. 15.3 hands, 11 years old, easy keeper who is happy to live outside. She will crib if you bring her into a stall, but not badly enough for me to buy her a collar, which would probably take care of it. She has been for sale, but no interest from anyone who I would feel comfortable selling her to, and I would rather give her away to a trusted COTHer than sell her for the 650 I paid and have her in a situation that might not work out. Here's a conformation shot:

and a video of her jumping:

and her pedigree:

The thing with her is she's not a beginner's horse. She's brave out on trails, but she is your typical hot, moody TB mare. She walks and trots great and I think most people with a clue could do that with her. She works into the bridle fine, she steers, she goes out on trails, I can ride her bareback with leadropes etc. Once you bring the canter into the equation though, she's quick and difficult. She doesn't show a ton of jumping talent as a hunter, she might make a jumper or foxhunter. She goes over the fences, she's brave and bold, but she does hang a leg. This very well could change once the canter is put together more. She has previously been a broodmare and there are videos of her filly, Exony, at www.youtube.com/hilltopfarmva She is sound as can be, only gets front shoes. Please let me know if you have any questions. She's in no danger, in great shape, I'll keep her until I find a good place for her. Mostly I want to know she is in a good place.
