Mac is a gorgeous 8yo TB G, 16.2h chestnut with four tall socks and a big blaze. He is a beautiful boy and a very easy keeper. He has done a little eventing and some low level hunters, including res champ in beginner horse after having all winter off and just getting loaded up and going.
Unfortunately he is not 100% sound right now. He was very off in March when I put shoes on for him to go out of trial. Looked like an abscess but it never blew out. Gradually got better but he is still just NQR. He is happy as a clam, and can be hacked around but he will occasionally take an off step. He belongs to my sister and she has given him to me so I can find him a good home. I have 12 horses of my own and don't want to keep spending my money on him if I don't have to.
I am willing to give him away to a loving long term home. He isnot at risk I won't let anything bad happen to him. I really love this horse he has the best temperament ever. He can not be ridden for months and I can hop on him with a halter and lead rope and ride him down the to the barn etc.
I think if someone were willing to have some vet investigation done, or maybe special shoes, you could probably get him sound again pretty easily but I don't want him to go to someone who plans to try and patch him up and jump him big and sell him on. He is a loving handsome boy that deserve a low key job. You can see pics on my website under Lightning McQueen and see how he looked at his show.
