Does anyone know of a good source for Tylan powder? The vet charges at least double and right now, not a good time to be spending pennies I don't need to spend. My vet bills are enormous enough as it is, so it would be helpful to be able to save a bit here and there without affecting my animals' care.

Doesn't Tylan have a big ol' warning on it that says "Do NOT use in horses"?

Tylan is primarily used in chickens; maybe OP has some?

FWIW, it's also the active ingredient/major component of Angel Eyes, that stuff some dog people use to help w/ tearstains (tearstaining caused by a red yeast overgrowth, and the Tylan controls it for as long as the dog is on it).

Jeffers might carry it in their farm catalog. My old BO used to use it for the barn cats.

I bought mine there, they say it's in stock but it's not, it took two weeks to show up while they gave me the runaround. Valley Vet has it:

so does KV Vet

I get mine at valley vet - use it for the dogs occasionally if they get into something and get the runs. =)

It's not for a horse, it's for my dog and was prescribed for him. I'm running out and the vet said to continue using it when needed.

Unfortunately, it's about $75 or $85 (don't recall exactly) for the 100 gram bottle from the vet and I knew it was available in some form elsewhere for about half that. Just wasn't entirely sure if the ones labeled for chickens was the same, so thought I'd check here if anyone has a good source. The KV vet product description indicates that it is indeed the same. Thanks for posting links.

After spending several thousand on the dog's cancer surgery last month, being able to get a bit of a break on one of his meds is very much appreciated. :sigh:
