I did a search but didn't find anything that specifically addressed my question.

Will a daily dose of aspirin cause or aggravate ulcers in a horse?

Bute definitely upsets his stomach after a few days. I've been using Previcox to manage his occassional sore heel, but am wondering about switching to aspirin to save $$.

Horse is on daily U-Gard and I have spent a LOT of money over the last year getting rid of his ulcers. Definitely don't want to go backwards...

I have a 25 year old rescue on daily aspirin. she has been on it for over a year with no ill effects. I tried it on my 18 year old OTTB and she quit eating after 2 days. I guess it depends on the horse, but if he has a history of ulcers, I wouldn't think it would work.
