I'm breeding for a keeper dressage foal (though it would be smart to be marketable, as well!)
I'm willing to spend $$ for the perfect match b/c the mare is older.

Mare has Westfalen and Trakehner bloodlines (Rolls Royce x Condus) She is approved KWPN-NA, as well as MMB AHS. Willing to go to another registry, if necessary. Fresh b/c mare will be 18.

Received very nice comments at her AHS inspection with an overall 7.0 MMB (only non-AHS mare.) 9 for correctness of gait, 8 for neck, many other scores were noted as "would have probably been higher, if she was younger", including neck, saddle position, frame, and gaits.

Nice temperament, pleasant with a sense of humor, big and TALL, easy mare to be around.

Could use:
downsizing
more carry/roundness of gait
tighter loin connection/longer hip
more elegance

Maybe a Sandro Hit son?

Perhaps look at Rubino Bellissimo? http://www.1derful.com

He's fairly small, 16 or 16.1 I think. I had one this year out of my jumper bred mare who is 17.1. The colt is definately more elegant, with a better loin connection, stronger hindquarters, better shoulder, and is much more a Dressage type mover than his dam. This colt has a SUPER temperament, nothing seems to phase him. For his Inspection, he got a bath & was braided of course. During the bath I didn't even have to touch the lead rope once, he just stood there (it was his first bath, but he likes to play in sprinklers too). This particuliar foal sold in-utero within 7 days of being listed.

Rubino is AHS approved.

Here he is at three months old:

Here's his dam, just for reference, she's by Royal Appearance, out of a Grannus mare:

Rubignon, hands down. Take a look at his videos and credentials, you'll understand why! Rainbow Equus is great to deal with and his semen quality is excellent. It arrived to us in Canada with almost 85% motility, which my vet had never seen before on that distance.

Benidetto has made super foals this year: and he himself is a a beauty :)

Will be available fresh semen in 2010 and early booking discount.

Fixed the pic! Sorry!

I do have Rubino Bellissimo at the top of my list!! That early booking discount can't hurt, either!

I need to get in touch with Edgar regarding Rubignon. He looks lovely.
I sent for a Benidetto video.
DD - what a nice outlook on that foal! Is he as pleasant as he appears?

Which Sandro Hit son??
I don't mind hot, but I'd like to keep the mare's personable, likable demeanor. Need a horse who will tolerate being trained by an ammy - I've ridden a self-trained horse up to 3rd. I don't mind hot at all, though.

What does everyone think about Dacaprio as a match? I saw a couple of foals by him this year and they were both elegant with lovely gaits.

I was going to mention Dacaprio or Royal Prince.

I am going to second the Dacaprio and the Rubignon suggestions!
