Feeding for energy? - again....

Would you look to increase the protein in the feed to increase energy? What else would you look for? Horse's weight is perfect so don't want to change that.

I use Purina Tr-Max which has a different name in the US...Ultium! Top dressing with Athlete doesn't seem to hurt.
