Today the weather here is GORGEOUS its going to be 82 and if we can beat the rain we will get to ride for about the 15th day in a row. That said, winter is coming ( I HATE winter) I have started gathering light weight layers for my daughters and have been scouring sales for winter type paddock boots for them. I am sure that no matter how well I prepare there will be days when we CAN'T ride ( bummer) we do plan to travel to an indoor once or twice a week, but what can I do with the girls and the ponies when its just bitter cold and blowing?? Sarah cries if she does not get to see Lizzy everyday so just NOT going is not an option. Any good ideas for cross tie games or lessons that we can do on those days when we just can't stand outside any longer?? I would like to teach her to correctly "stand" her pony so I thought that would be a good one to work on, any others???
