View Full Version : Replacing neoprene/liners on older leather tendon boots?

Anyone done it?

I've got an older pair of leather tendon boots, and although the neoprene is dying a death, the leather is still good, and they fit my horse well, so I figured I might be able to replace the neoprene by myself.

Is there a glue I could use that's horse-safe?

Where can I buy a yard or so of neoprene?!

I'm guessing the local tack store might be able to do the job, but I quite liked the diy idea too.

Found the self-adhesive neoprene on Ebay, of course.

So - has anyone tried this with any success?

Interesting question. I have some that I'd like to have lined with leather (they now have neoprene and it's shredded around the edges), but don't know if that's possible. Did you ask a tack repair person about the neoprene? Can't wait to hear how it goes!
