New MT Horse Fusion winter boots?

Would really like a pair of the Ariat Bromonts but unfortunately my calf is a smidge too big.
Started looking at the new Mountain Horse Fusion winter boots. Supposed to be leather combined with another matierial to make them waterproof.

They look a little clunky but I wouldnt be showing in them, oh and they have this red stripe on the side of the sole. Hmmm...I guess thats what permanent markers are for :)

Any input would be wonderfull...was especially wondering about break in time

I don't know about these in particular, but I bought a pair of Sportives for cheap and am absolutely in love - I'm a repeat customer for life! Super comfy and easy to break in - I've got probaby less than 15 rides in mine and they're perfect (a smidge too short - but not showing and well worth the price to me). Two thumbs up for MH!!!
