I was looking at Canadian riders standings and came across this list where it had 8 or so *top* riders listed and then a bunch of decent riders. The heading just above the decent riders I thought said *Riders On Rinse*. So I call up my friend and tell him about Jump Canada writing this. He tells me, “no way!”... and I said, “yes way”! He tell me to go read it again and I do; to see it actually says, “Riders on the Rise”; LOL. It was late at night and clearly I was not really reading what I was seeing.

So he comes up with this list, which I thought was really quite funny, to poke fun at me. I had to share for you all to have a good laugh.

New Rider Categories from Jump Canada:

Riders In The Rinse Cycle
Riders Heading Down the Drain
Riders Washed Up
Riders With Dirty Laundry
Riders With Static
Riders With Bounce
Air-Dried Riders
Permanent- Pressed Riders
Riders With Wrinkles
Stained Riders

May all your mistakes haunt you for life, even after you have turned your life around and won an Olympic Gold.

Im sorry I filled out of fun and humour, but forgot that this BB doesnt always take it as humour my bad, I should have known that saying something over the internet was bound to be taken the wrong way.

But then again, Eric is in the public eye so what he does(good or bad) will be there as it happened in the public eye. Then again do you feel bad for Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and any "celebrity" when they do stupid things in public, then say well look at all the charity work they do!

Im sorry my humour was not taken as humour and with a grain of salt.

OP awesome thread made me laugh, but I will refrian from being off topic anymore as I guess my humour was interpreted as ill spirited.(I really meant it to be funny but I guess not!)

Thanks for the post, Teddy. I, for one, firmly believe in the redemptive qualities of sport and have always liked Eric's frank and honest interviews. He came up the hard way in a sport where the competition came with a lot more advantages. Judging by his reception at Spruce the fans have moved on.

I actually wrote a letter to CBC some time back regarding their former showjumping tv announcers and pointed out that they never, ever gave him a break. They always brought up Eric's previous difficulties. That letter was printed in a magazine and I received a ton of phonecalls praising the letter and my views. I don't know if to take any credit, but lately there has been nothing mentioned about the infamous past.

You are right, he hasnt really lived it down, and I credit him because he is a good sport about it even if the subject is brought up(from the tv interviews). I think he is a awesome rider and horseman, who was not aware of just how public any mistakes become.

I think that Ian Millar can be thrown into a few more categories than just "Riders with wrinkles" ;-)

very true he can! He definately has a rep around my area for being a jerk to fans....(You would think Ian would be nicer to his fans)

Yup - I've met him and he was kind of a jerk. I too would think he would want to be nicer to fans but to each his own I guess....
