Hey, so I have an amazing opportunity this week to have a lesson on a Grand Prix horse. I was wondering if any of you could give me some tips on what I could work on (on my own horse) in the next few days that I could apply in this lesson? Not really sure yet what my coach is planning on doing with me, likely a small course.

I once got to ride a horse that competed in the Olympics in eventing-- he was retired when I rode him.
My biggest suggestion is ask for everything with the smallest possible aid you can think of, and try to be as perfect with your posture as you can.
I learned how to half-pass on that horse, and once he started, I couldn't stop him! He just FLEW sideways! It was amazing, and to this day one of my fondest horse memories. Have fun!
