sesamoidean ligament

anyone have experience rehabbing an injury to the sesamoidean ligament?

i've been told confined turnout is ok but i've also been told to lock the horse up in it's stall for 2 months.. anyone have 1st hand experience with this?

when my mare was diagnosed w/ a hind suspensory tear (in the branches) she was also diagnosed w/ a sesmoidean ligament tear.
that tear healed very well and very quickly (within 3 or 4 months).

she was never on stall rest for either injury. her turnout (in a large dry lot) has been the same throughout. she's still rehabbing from the suspensory injury.
