Well, confidentially, I have never been a fan of EB and Old NA. Why, doesn't matter really,...

BUT, I went to Talloak's Old NA inspection on Sunday, and I was VERY impressed. Observations & Comments:

1. Everyone there, exhibitors, "staff", inspectors, EVERYONE was so very very nice. You could chat with anyone/everyone,... they were simply delightful.

2. Talloaks is a delight. Are your ears burning, TO? It was so nice to, at last, put a face to a name.

3. The inspector was wonderful! When the foals were called back to the premium ring (is that right?) the inspector went through every score, and explained it. Some of the other inspections I've been to (naming no names) the inspectors gave the score or placing, and that was that. It was really nice to have the inspector—who after all DOES look at tons of foals every year—explain to the audience what he saw.

4. He was also nice enough to mention the announcer and the host,...and thank them. What a nice touch.

5. LUNCH was marvellous! Tasty tasty tasty ...

6. Beautiful facililty.

Anyway, just some thoughts to share. Once again, well done, TO!!! Very well done indeed!

Well thank you for the kind words. OldenburgMom!! It was great to meet you afler all these years!!
I am happy you enjoyed the inspection at Chestnut Lawn Farm since George and Linda Salisbury put so much work into getting the facility ready for the event. Linda's luncheon's are always the best.
Ironwood Farm usually writes up the results but she was busy with her Norwegian Fjords this weekend so our saddle fitter has volunteered to do the write up. I still must get the scores to her and I don't know if she is on coth or not.

Hey Talloaks, if you send me the scores and the program, I can write it up. My resident trainer was therem so she can give me all the adjectives and details. I heard it was fabulous as always and there were many premium foals.

I was sorry to have missed the inspection, but I was showing Fjords (and earning prize money) at the Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Show at Commonwealth Park. It was worthwhile because I won both the cones and obstacles with my stallion and my neighbor drove him to win men's hitch, so we got the divisional driving championship. We may have an overall high score for small draft horse and for versatility. too.

Still, I wish I could have been at Chestnut Lawn, too because it's such a great setting, the horses that come there are spectacular and everyone is so nice.

Talloaks, I was very impressed with the inspection ... quite frankly, it was the best run I've ever been to, and the inspector was such a nice guy!

Ironwood ... aha! I wondered what was going on there, as I had to drive right by CWP on my way to Chestnut Lawn. I saw a couple of big drafties in harness ... WOW were they BIG!

Congratulations on your success ... and the $$$s!
