Still searching for a bridle that I can show in for under $150. I liked the smartpak Harwich but the cob size was too small so I'm returning it. Not sure I want to order another as I'll still have to darken it.

So here's what I'd like :D

Under $150. (with reins)
Darker brown for Dark Bay horse
I like padded but I'm open

Try ebay. I got a brand new edgewood the other day (without reins) for
$150. Also, Sometimes premiertackoutlet.com has some good deals (she sells high end stuff though, so its pretty rare to find much under $150). Its worth a try though! :)

Any other suggestions?

I'm very happy with my Pinnacle Comfort Plus bridle from Schneider's. My trainer (who only owns and uses Stubben tack) commented on how nice it is. The leather is nice and dark and it's just gotten better with use. I've been using it for about 6 months now and it looks FANTASTIC.

I got a raised, padded, fancy stitched bridle with reins for $145. I got it by calling Farmhouse Tack. They were great.

I got it as an extra lease bridle for a lease horse, but I like it so much that I'll probably be showing in it instead of in my edgewood. I got it dipped and it's a beautiful dark brown and is very supple and high quality.

I love my Ovation bridles. I have a figure 8 and a fancy stitched padded. :)

My Ovation is pretty nice. I bought it for a horse I ride and was surprised by the quality for the price (total for figure 8 w/reins was around $80). I wouldn't ever use it on a dark bay, however, unless it darkened A LOT more. It looks great on the chestnut, but it won't ever touch my bay's face unless I'm looking for a laugh.

I have an Ovation and it's dark. I really like it, good quality.

Just to add another suggestion, I've had a Collegiate bridle for my pony for about 5 years and it is still in excellent condition. It started off light but is a very dark brown now.

I also suggest Bobby's bridles. Usually good quality for the price. Have heard some bad reviews, but I've liked the ones I have used.
