Manes&Tails - The more $ you can donate and get friends to donate to the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers fund the better. Go to this thread:
Reward fund for FL horses being slaughtered - that merrygoround just moved to page 1 and you can read the progression of the fund(s) that are ongoing.

Any donations to them are tax deductible also so try getting everyone at your barn and workplace to give. Every little bit does help.

When I first looked into this, the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers reward fund was at $1000. Last I looked they were at $7000. Therer are currently 2 threads on this already. The first one that merrygoround is probably finding and bringing up and one last week.

The HSUS has a fund of $5000 and a rancher in the area, a Ron Bergeron I believe, has also said he'd donate another $10,000.

When I initially contacted the South Florida SPCA about adding to their fund (HSUS fund), I was told to make my donation to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers fund instead because of the paperwork the SPCA would have to do.

I am going to donate today, I have not been able to think about anything else since I first read about these poor horses, I have to do something to help catch these killers, it must not happen again, anywhere.

I really do understand your concern. I've been there and still very deeply concerned. If you're bored tonight, read thru both of the threads already on it. There has been some interesting speculation about these ba$tards. The best is 'to do unto them as they have done to the horses'. :D I personally would love to see a 'gator munching on their genitals and a python swallowing them head first. But then I think I'm a blood-loving vigilante at heart! :)

I had a horse mudered by college students 3 years ago and the thought of this makes me feel the pain of these horses and their owners, it has to stop!!!!!

Does anyone know how to mail cards to the owners of these horses?

As for cards, you could try contacting the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers. I believe the woman I spoke with was called Maureen Hickey. Also the South Florida SPC- Jeanette Jordon.
