View Full Version : Well Armed in TX - Anyone Connected?

Sep. 11, 2009, 12:55 PM
Well Armed is recuperating at Bill Casner's farm in Flower Mound TX. I'm not at all that far away and would love to get a chance to meet Well Armed. I'm a huge fan of Tiznow and all his progeny and have been following Well Armed throughout his career. Does anyone have a connection or know if the farm is open to visitors? I tried sending a note to Win Star Farm and have not gotten a reply.

Zevida and I had a nice visit with Well Armed yesterday. He looked very content at Mr. Casner's beautiful ranch. The plan is to run him again next year, but in the mean time he's swimming and has his own "vibrating platform" that stimulates circulation.

Also got to see "Bet Me Best", a now 13yr old retiree who won over 500k. Mgr. said they tried to use him for a roping horse (he looks like a QH!), but that didn't work out. Now they just pleasure ride him.

They also have a Bluegrass Cat yrlng. they're are breaking and plan to run in this area. He's pretty cute.

Here's a couple of pictures.

Well, we didn't do too bad taking each other's pictures! Guess I should take this to a private level, but here's a picture of the ottb I told you about.

After I saw you I went on the absolute "vacation from hell" and decided if I made it home alive I deserve a new horse! :D

This picture is actually old, he was 2. After I got his pp's I found out it's a small racing community here in TX. He got beat by the worst horse in my race horse trainer's barn, and he got beat by a friend's horse who I always tried to be polite about ;) Needless to say I hope he's a better jumper, than he was a runner:eek:

Sorry about the vacation, but you got a NICE horse out of it! I love him - those long legs, that bay coat. Very nice!!
