View Full Version : looking for some help...

Is any one aware of a trainer on the Chicago TB racing circuit that might be looking for barn help? I am willing to work for free. I'm 28 years old, have my own transportation, carry my own insurance and have 15 years of hands on horse experience.
I am hoping to one day become an assistant trainer, but for now I'm just looking to start at the bottom and gain as much experience as I can!

You do NOT need to work for free!

Hey, believe me....I'd love to get paid. But I really want/need the experience. I have tons of horse knowledge........but admittedly don't have a lot of thoroughbred racing experience.......right now I'd be happy just to have some one teach me the ins and outs of life at the track

I agree, don't work for free...why? You will get paid according to your experience and what/how much you do. I'm pm'ing you a number of a very good friend that has about 12 at Arlington. Very good trainer and great guy all around. He won't take advantage of you and you'll learn alot if it works out (and he needs help)
