I would love to find a girth to use so I can put Ella's 13" saddle on my Gene (he wears a 52-54) with my 16.5 regular flap saddle. Is there such a girth that would fit or some sort of extenders to use? She loves to ride him but I thought she may feel more secure in her own saddle rather then swimming in mine. TIA

Does the tiny children's saddle even fit on your large horse? Before trying to figure out how to girth it, I'd make sure it can comfortably sit on his back without pinching anywhere.

My daughter's ride my guy in their little saddles, one is a 13" and I just use my regular girth. You might need to borrow a longer girth, but any regular girth will work just fine. Bubba is a lot smaller than Gene, but it should work just fine.

A lot of little kid saddles are built on wide trees for super round ponies. I think it quite likely that this saddle will fit well enough for its intended purpose :)

I am not sure of what size girth you will need other than huge...but I sure would love to see a pic. They would be so cute together!!!

You can buy girth extenders or get a cheapie fleece girth with the elastic on both sides. Do you have any consignment stores in your area?

No consignment in our area. I have no idea what size to even start, 60s? I struggle on a daily basis with my 52 every day girth. My show girth is a 54 as I rarely use it.

What about checking a store that caters to draft horses? I know my friend ordered a really nice 60" but there was quite a wait for it to come in

May I ask those who have a 13" saddle -- where did you find it, and what brand is it? My little tyke rides in a leadline saddle with a handle on the front, but I find the seat is quite big for her. I think it might be a 14"?

I got mine from the Middleburg Tack Exchange. I checked with tack shops up and down the East Coast for a couple of months and had some trainers looking for one. It is a Collegiate.
