I just wanted to say Thank You to Denny and May Emerson and all the folks at Tamarack Hill Farm for hosting an exceptionally wonderful weekend. For those of you who miissed the IDHSNa Clinic and show this past weekend missed one heck of a good time.

The clinics were very informative, the food was fantastic, and the show was a blast.

Thank You Cori Oehley, North East Regional Chair of the IDHSNa, and gang for bringing a little bit of County Wexford Ireland to Strafford Vermont. Judge George Chapman, speaker Noel Mullins and rider Aiden O' Connell as well as the Irish music and dancers brought the horse culture of Ireland to Vermont and celebrated the Irish Draft and Irish Sport Horse.

Horses as far away as Virginia came to Vermont to be shown in front of Judge George Chapman. New friends were made and old friends came together to celebrate the Irish breed.

My only goal for the weekend was not to fall off my very young and green Irish mares. I walked away from the weekend with that goal and so very much more.

Thank you again to all

Kate

Hope to see you all again next year.:)

Hell, just to listen to Denny & Aidan go toe-to-toe with non-stop jokes was worth the price of admission! Thank you all - that was a blast!

I second Kate's post but have to give another hugh shout out to Cori as I haven’t seen someone handle a multiple day event with such ease and charisma! What a wonderful weekend and we couldn't ask for better attendance, weather, and of course our Irish guests! It was such a nice bunch of folks that really seemed to take an active part in the concept of handling and showing their horses and wanting to learn more about the Irish aspect of it all. George and Noel really enjoyed themselves and said they would hope this fair would take place at Denny’s for many years to come as it did the Irish proud.

Next year (prayers for his safe arrival next week from Co. Wexford IRE) we will have our ISH to bring to the show. :)

Cori & her family, Scott, Jamie & Jessica did a terrific job, organizing, running &
enjoying the Irish Fair!
It all got better & better as the weekend went on, the Clinic, the Show, the Event,
the Irish music, the weather (!), the conversations, the laughs, the Riding & the Horses,
all just got better & better!!!!!!!!
Cori had all the angles covered, as far as I could see, I came up with several friends &
4 horses & came away with more friends!
I'm hoping this will be an annual affair, maybe it can happen in Denny's winter headquarters,
also! Lots of Irish horses down there----maybe alternate years, north & south!
Thank you Cori & all!

Yes, thank you! I only came for the show day but it was a fun experience.

Nice to have a judge reward the fizzy exuberant horse!

WOW, what a weekend. The positive, supportive attitutude that this group of riders brought to the clinic and show , made it into more than just a horse event. It was a group effort that got Kate's 4 yr old threw the water and Pams's mare over the ditch. It was the encouragement of the riders that helped turn Michelle from a walk trot nervous nelly into a galloping fool. No one went home without a sence of being part of something incredible. Denny and May Emerson made us all feel completley at home for 4 days. I think they had as much fun as we did. I don't think you will ever have Noel Mullins, Adian O'connell, and Judge George Chapman all together at one event, on US soil again. Their presents put this event into the books. It was the people and horses that made this weekend powerful and important. Tamarack Hill made it "majical" and the Emersons made it a dream come true. THank You folks, for this gift. Cori

Thanks for posting the link to those pics; I didn't go but I used to ride Michelle's mare Josey and it was fun to look at the pics and remember her when she first came for training :) Looks like it was a fun weekend!!

Aidan O'Connell will be in Geneseo, NY, Oct.8th thru Oct 13th, clinicing on the
GVH Trials Course!

You can find entry info at:

geneseevalleyhunt.org

Go to Calender on the left, then find the Aidan pdf. flyer in October.

His Clinics stress Safety while riding cross-country, whether you're Eventing
or Hunting, and they're great fun to attend even if you come to audit (which
is free!)

Hope to see you there!
