Excellent!

And I am such a goober, I was sitting here picturing xc and thinking "But where will they put steeplechase?"

Big pause in small brain before the light came on and I realized they have a lovely racetrack, and I'm sure they can find a route via roads and tracks to get across the road. Whee! That should be fun!

Don't worry you are not the only goober.. I too went "where will they steeplechase?" before I remembered lol.

I'll be there with bells on my feet! At least thats the plan! My old guy, Cody is probably comming back from lease, and will already be qualified himself, so we'll run some training in the spring and see y'all at the 3-day! It's been since 2003 that I've run LF at YR's and I am BEYOND excited! It's been about 10 years since he was qualified for his 1*, but we never ran him. I AM THRILLED! If any of my other guys were going to be ready, I'd be there with them as well....They'll all be aimed for fall 2010!....Now.....the question on everyones mind.....what to wear for jog?

Hmmm......SC in April? It's a bit like Rolex weather....either 40 degrees and pouring rain, or lovely! Plan for both!

I'm clearing the schedule to volunteer! So stoked to come back to my old stomping grounds! Does anyone know if the construction on the roads around FENCE is supposed to be over by then?

As far as weather... total crapshoot :) Anywhere from cold and rainy to 75 and sunny :)

Well I won't be competing there, but here's my jog advice from my experince last weekend at the GMHA T3D.

Wear a great outfit - because even if it's 45 and you're in a sleevless summer dress (well, because it's AUGUST and you thought it might be warm) you are only in it for about 15 minutes (1 if you really need a coat and you only take it off for the jog) and the cold is just something you can live with.

I had a great time getting dressed up for the jog!

and jog #2

I wore pants, long sleeves and a fleece jacked just prior to both the jogs. And immediately afterwards.....

I know... We'd been practicing and she was a bit lazy, and I'd trained with a "cluck and tap". So hopefully all I'd need was the cluck. I practiced while waiting and she was fine.

Got in there and WHOO HOO! Everyone is looking at ME!! and she got impressed with herself. I didn't even cluck when we turned, she just left the starting gate. I should have stopped a few steps sooner b/c she generally is good about "person stops, I stop". But exuberance is a good thing in an event horse, right?

I think that might be the perfect weekend for my will-be-4-month-old sons to visit their great grandparents in Henderson County :D Thank you FENCE!

So it says "one horse trials must be as a combination and within the current competition year, all qualifiers within the current and preceding two calendar years"

Does that mean that if I were to enter the April 2010 event, I could include competitions from as far as April 2007? Or does it mean 2008-2010 only?

In 2010, all Training three days will have uniform qualification requirements. The only time restriction on the Qualifying Results will be that one of them must be within three months of the T3DE (but at least 10 days before the start of the T3DE dressage). The USEA T3DE page should have the complete 2010 qualification info soon.
