Seneca Training XC time penalties

What's the deal with all the training level division cross country time penalties? Not used to seeing that. Wasn't there, so wondering what's up?

It was a hard course, I thought. Lots of places you needed to really come back--I know I trotted in several places. The thing that really surprised me was that 3 or 4 people missed one of the last fences--I think it was #18--which was almost in line with #17--and got TE'd.

I let my horse trot up to the SCARY down-bank into the woods, which he opted to walk off - just fine with me, because he kept going! When we got into the woods he spooked twice at shadows, so I trotted for a while until he felt more settled. I know that cost us a lot of time, so we motored around the rest of the course and ended up with about 13 time penalties. I thought it was a great course and had SO much fun! I think most of the problems were at the ditch combination at #6, the aforementioned SCARY down bank at #8, and then a bunch of people galloped right past the tiny table at #18. It was so insignificant compared to the rest of the course, I think people just forgot to think about it!
