I had originally planned on shipping my daughter's boots to Chuck Pinnell to get the zippers replaced. But, he doesn't do that anymore and recommended either Vogel or GEORGE'S SHOE REPAIR in Virginia Beach, VA.
Since the boots weren't Vogel, I figured I'd give George a call. He asked when I needed them by and I said by 9/16. I asked for an estimate. He said $125 give or take, since he hadn't seen the boots yet - couldn't tell me exactly.
I shipped the boots out week before last.
He called yesterday to let me know they were done and to confirm the $125 charge.
We received them today! They look beautiful (much better than the condition they were sent in - not just the new zippers ;) ). My daughter had had to duct tape them during the last show. They were cleaned and polished.
He didn't even charge return shipping.
