I like the Tipperary. I'm a trail rider, though, so not looking for something that is show-ring approved.

I love my Troxel Sport. Very light and lots of ventilation holes. I've never come back from a ride with my hair wet from sweat.

I ride in South Florida, where it's extremely hot and humid half the year. Everyone at my barn seems to ride in a Tipperary for schooling and lessons. It's the best ventilated helmet I have ridden in.
I have a cheapy plastic one with tons of vents and it's fab. I can actually feel the breeze on my head.
I think this is the one I have... in silver.

I like the IRH Elite personally. It can do double duty in the show ring too (as can the others...this one just fits in a bit better).

I have a sportage that is not bad. I think my GPA Speed-Air is more comfortable and cooler.

I have the Aegis Caladesi, and while it is THE ugliest helmet in the history of the world and I only bought because I needed a helmet right away and it was the only one that fit, I've been really pleased w/ how cool it is. Um, temp wise, that is ;)

Love the Speed Air my boss got me for my B-Day! Think the Tipperary is a very good and cost-efficient alternative though, I've heard a lot of good things about it and if you aren't superficial and vain (I am and it's just one of those things I've learned to live with LOL) they do as good a job as any approved helmet!

Tipperary Sportage. Blows my old Troxel Legacy out of the water in the ventilation department.
It's funny; I've gotten lots of compliments on it from western riders. They think it looks cool (relatively speaking, since all helmets look a little dorky).

Another vote for the Tip. No sweaty head and I often ride in the middle of the day in the middle of GA in the middle of the summer--you get the picture. And I am a seriously sweaty person. I can go two days without having to wash my hair even though I ride daily.

I agree on this one though I have never used a Tipperary. I sometimes wear a helmet for 6-8 hr at a time here in S Fl.
