Howdy all,
Have been a member for a while, but not posted much.

Took my 2003 Oldenburg mare, Passion (Pablito/Cor Noir), through inspection this past weekend.
She was entered in to the Premium Mare book.
We also did the MPT - the judges were unanimous with their scores of 10 for her jump.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a still shot of her over fences, but this was taken off of the video we got of her:

Undersaddle (naughty eyes, I know)

Just wanted to share!
I couldn't be more proud of my girl!

Congratulations ! You have a beautifull mare.

Did you like your experience ? Does it require a lot of preparation for the MPT ?

I would love to bring my mare to the AHHA MPT in 2 years.

Thanks!

Can't speak for the AHHA MPT, but the ISR/OLD MPT was a great experience.

I do jumpers, so we needed to focus a bit more on our flat work. She gets in to the ring and looks for jumps, so she isn't super quiet on the flat away from home.
They just asked that I W/T/C each direction. It was fairly informal. The whole undersaddle portion lasted about 10 minutes.

We also did some work in the chute. She has free jumped a ton in the past, but never down a chute/through a grid.
The judges kept asking for the fence height to go up- she jumped out over a 4'6 oxer (I don't think they normally ask for that much height).

I think it would be important to get a mare off the property and use to focusing and getting down to work in a new environment. In total, we spent about three weeks before the inspection really focusing on flat work and free jumping.

Good luck with your mare in the future!

Thanks for the input !
I may consider to present her to the ISR/OLD too...
Do you have a video of your MPT flat portion ?

I think so...
A friend video taped parts of the inspection, but her dad went in for brain surgery the day after the inspection. She hasn't emailed an undersaddle portion yet.

Thanks!

The Germans quite liked her. In fact, she flirted one in to snuggling with her.
