2010 WEG Volunteers

If there is already a thread on this - forgive me for starting another one and point me in the right direction!

Does anyone have more info on volunteering for the 2010 WEG? I am registered and have filled out my preferences. Although I would like to volunteer for Eventing - but it doesn't seem that their info is up yet.

My questions are:

Are they discounting tickets for the events for volunteers? If so - does anyone know how much?

They show volunteer opportunities in big chunks of time - two weeks or more. What if you can only volunteer for 3 days?

I'm in the boat with you-filled out the forms months ago, have had ZERO response. I went ahead and bought tix, hotel, the whole bit, now I'm broke and crabby. They'll probably give us free entry when it is too late to sell off these monster-money tickets.

I just got an e-mail from them asking me to confirm my info by Sept. 11. They also mentioned something about prices for lodging, but, since I live in the Lexington area,I didn't pay any attention to that part of it.

I am volunteering for the CDE and have gotten information about volunteering for the 2009 Lexington Classic coming up the first weekend in October, which is the "test" driving event for WEG.

I am only volunteering for driving so have no insight on other events.

I would imagine the two-week block is the time frame they need volunteers for, not the required time they need all volunteers (if that makes sense).

I'm not planning on buying tickets, so I can't help you with that aspect.
