Several yrs ago, I went to a sporting goods store (Gander Mountain) and picked up wolf or some other large animal urine to deter Mrs. Raccoon from coming into the barn. It did work for that year at least.

Now I've got those cute little rotten distructive chipmunks that have decided to burrow under the concrete floor of my tack room and feed room and have taken up housekeeping under a pile of fence posts by the house (OK, my bad for storing them so close to the house :().

I'm thinking if I got some of that 'lovely, fragrant' urine again and spread it around where the chippy holes are, maybe the chippies will move to another home/farm.

Anyone with any thoughts on that? Do you think it would send Mr and Mrs Chipmunk elsewhere?

Also, what about my dog - a spayed female? It is going to get her turned away or what???

Oh....I thought you had some plan to deter coyotes with chipmunks...I was trying to imagine how that would work..chipmunk costume? chipmunk catapults?

So far the best chipmunk deterrent I have seen is my barn cat...apparently chipmunks are very tasty and not too bright....which is unfortunate as they are awfully cute...

Well, I really don't want to trade the chippies for coyotes. Neither are particularly welcome. :D

PS. No barn cat. He was taken indoors when Mama 'Coon decided to eat all the cat food. Cat food vanished from barn and cat was happily made a house cat. :D
