Awww....

You do know that most white face markings get considerably smaller as puppies grow, in the first few weeks?
Puppy may end with a light streak where the strip is now.

Tag
Digger (which is of course meant to deter him from ever being a digger - good luck with THAT! :D)He's beautiful. I have a soft spot in my heart for sables, as my 17 year old JRT is a sable (well, more grey than sable now).

How about Wellie.

I had a friend who won the Marshall & Sterling league 2 years in a row. She named her puppies Marshall and Sterling, of course!

Tiempo

Wellie is cute, but a little too close to Willie, our Greyhound that we just lost :(

The shortlist so far..more will be added I'm sure as we can't bring him home til 10/20

Radcliffe (a village near my home village)
Billy
Chorley (another town near home)
Sprout
Tiffin
Gordon
Stewart
Malcolm

Keep 'em coming :)

ETA, I liked Duncan, but hubby nixed it as he had a Duncan in his unit in the Army that he didn't like.

Eight days old? Why isn't he with his mom. He is way too young to be weaned... puppies usually leave moms at 6 to 8 weeks old. Was his mom sick? I feel sad that he has been removed for the litter so soon!

From the OP:

He is still with his litter.

How about Theodore and you can call him "The Beaver"?

Yup, don't fret FI, he is still with mom and his 6 sibs, we won't get to bring him home til late October.

Oh, so many nice names, but I think my favorite up to now is Devon.
A quiet, easy to say nicely even thru clenched teeth, sensible name may help a JRT.:)

Duncan! It is of Scottish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "dark warrior; brown fighter". A royal name in early Scotland.

I really like this name.. maybe its got something to do with me being Scottish lol.

ESG

I'm liking Geordie best, myself. But then, I've always had a soft spot for that name. No clue why, just do.

Some more possibilities:

Ronan (especially if he has any red in him)
Kilty
Rupert
Eamon
Haggis (:D)

Yeah, but MY husband would call him Timm-aye, like in South Park, and that would drive me nuts! I like Duncan. Or Cormac - it's unusual.
