Hi, me again, yeah I had the Lawsonia baby then the arthroscopic surgery after a kick then the pigeon fever scare (not pigeon just an infection after gelding). In any case, my boy now 17 months is being moved next week.
I've had tons of great advice from COTHers on how to handle the transition and it also turns out that there will be a small pasture available next to the big one, we can integrate him slowly etc.... It's pretty ideal.
BUT I want to make sure he doesn't get sick again! He won't have developed any immunities to anything on the new grounds, he'll be stressed and it might be chilly and potentially damp (foggy) in October.
Is there anything that anyone recommends, any not-over-the-top-expensive immune system boosting supplements? I have a month till he moves and could get it integrated into his feed now potentially.

I don't believe there is such a thing as an immune system booster unless you want to count vaccines. Vaccines are more of an immune system challenger than a booster but the system does have to rally the troops more or less to create immunity to whatever you vaccinated him with which would leave it stronger afterwards.
A good feeding program along with good animal husbandry should do the trick.

I've had great luck with Immunall. I have a sick filly right now, she spent a week in ICU. As soon as she came home, I put her on Immunall. The nasal discharge went away, and hasn't returned. Her attitude also improved after being on it for about 3 days.... I'm keeping her on it until she's 100% again. Definately reccomend it.

I've too seen results with Immunal on more than a couple of different uses. Don't like to spend money on supplements etc unless I see a difference. This seems to work.

EqStim. I swear by the stuff. Not cheap- but incredibly effective. Ask your Vet.

I had great success with this drug with my very sick immunosupressed filly, she had three shots I believe, she is 7 now and doing great.
