Partly in reaction to the Parelli thread, was just wondering what are some peoples favorite authors, books or videos.
I am always looking for books (or videos) to learn more.
I really like Michael Schaffer's ideas as well as his writing style.
I have some of Klimke books but find that while the ideas are good, in some cases I am not sure how to "get there". But having the goals summed up is good.
The best book I would recommend for a young person or someone starting out is "How Your Horse Wants You to Ride" by Gincy Self Bucklin. She explains things in detail and in good nature. There is also subsequent books in the same style
Videos - DVD Equestrian Video Library. I really enjoy Mette Rosencrantz.
