I've seen that one when it aired. One of my favorites!
All of his animal episodes are classics. :)

Just showed that to the DH - he got just as oogy as I expected, but was still interested. What a guy.

They used one of my horses in the episode where he follows the farrier around for a day. It was kind of cool to have my horse on national television! Does anyone have a link to that epi? I've looked everywhere for it and can't find it. I lost my DVD copy of it a year or so ago and am kind of bummed about it since I no longer own that horse.

They spelled "farrier" ferrier?
I can't open the actual site (Great Firewall and all that) so I can't check to see how it's spelled on the site, but FERRIER?

Yeah, pretty lame spelling (okay, bad pun, but who could resist?). Above the actual video, it IS spelled correctly.
I checked YouTube, but couldn't find it. Oh wait, maybe I should have tried "ferrier"...will go back and check.
What I want to know is which horse was WTW95's - the bay glancing back and wondering WTH is going on, or the paint that nearly took a dump on the farrier's head?

Loved the gelding video. I worked for a woman vet and we did all of our geldings in the field because we didn't have a large animal clinic. The only thing missing from this one was her dog, Sharno, who used to sit there and drool once he saw the emasculators come out of the truck. Too bad it didn't end like that.

YES! Thank you!!!!!
Actually they were both mine at one point. The chestnut was my then current horse and the paint was my very first ever horse that I had sold some years back. :)

 As if the video alone wasn't gross enough...now I have that image in my head!
Blood and guts I'm ok with. But when things start popping and squirting, stick a fork in me, I'm done. Thank goodness I've never seen an enucleation.:dead:

He puts on a good act. That's what makes the show so popular.
Incidentally, did you know he trained as a opera singer?

Mike is hilarious!
There was an episode over the weekend where he was at a sheep ranch in CO and learned how to do castration and tail docking. . .the ranchers performed the actual castration with their teeth.
The look on Mike's face when he saw that was priceless. He was actually a good sport about it, though, and ended up using that method as well.
