I'm looking for suggestions on how to eliminate the gaps between the gates and gateposts in my pastures. I have seen a metal sleevelike thing that attaches to the top of the gate and flips down over the gap to keep horses from getting a foot caught. I think it is also used to keep 2 gates locked together (attached to one and flips over the other). Does anyone know where I can buy these? Any other suggestions? Moving gates and fenceposts is not feaseable. Thanks

I don't have any suggestions on how to fix but was working at a breeding farm and a young colt got his head stuck and removed a chunk of bone from his cheek. He was aptly named Fiasco. This guy was always getting into trouble.

Try bolting a 2x4 or 4x4 with a long carriage bolt to "widen" the fence post in the direction of the gate.

We added 2 x 4's as Spyder suggested. Sadly, it was after a broken leg....
Don't wait to fix it.
