I was just there looking for Saratoga news, and their sports page no longer has a section for "other sports". They don't have racing in their International sports section, either.

I could find absolutely nothing on their website about horses. Did I look in the wrong place, or economics pushed racing completely out of the news business?

In the New York Times "horse racing" only gets a blog and semi-regular column during the month or so before the Kentucky Derby and then during the TC chase. After that its back to just the "bad news" involving horses that gets any coverage. The only exception has been mentions of Rachel Alexandra - mostly if an Associated Press article is done ....

I read that article on the bus on the way to work this morning - really nice article and a happy ending for a hard working racer.
