I am not looking to find out where you purchased them, but rather who made them (Equitex, Tally Ho, etc.)? And how happy are you with them?

Looking for feedback before I take the plunge.

The Cover Girls. Not sure if they are still in business, as this was maybe 9 years ago. Very much happy with them.

Hmmmm . . . I expected that many would likely say The Clothes Horse.

However, I must say that I am surprised that more people did not get theirs from Equitex - they seem to have a great product as well.

Both companies do beautiful work ! I think the responses depend on location. Equitex is a West coast based company and a lot of the members of this forum who post are from the East coast where the Clothes Horse is based out of, thus more responses for the Clothes Horse. They both have different strengths. Equitex does awnings as well as stall drapes, they also do trunks and blankets. The Clothes Horse only does drapes & blankets. Which ever way you go, you will get a great product. You should call both companies and talk to them directly to see which one suits your needs better.

I got mine from Equitex - love them. They have been fantastic to work with. Timely with excellent workmanship. I love my name banner - I had had something else in mind when I began to order it, and they made an alternate recommendation that was PERFECT.

The Clothes Horse does almost anything you want for your horse made from fabric. You can get an awning, trunk covers, bandage hangers, quarter sheets (in multiple styles) and any type of tack room drapes you want. (from the practical to the absurd) They also make sheets, blankets, coolers etc. www.theclotheshorse.com

I'm from the East Coast, so I'm a Clothes Horse girl ;) but I know that Katrina makes everything including trunk covers and awnings.....

I believe there is a west coast rep. for The Clothes Horse. they make EVERYTHING, and its beautiful.

I bet if you wanted something made that isn't in their repertoire yet, they'ld have no trouble making it for you anyway.

lovely workmanship, lovely fabrics, lovely colours....

sigh.

I need to win the lottery.

The Clothes Horse is the best!! We have beautiful curtains from them, as well as coolers, scrims, trunk covers for all kinds of trunks. You name it, Katrina can probably get it done, and the quality is always impeccable.

One more thing. I just want to mention, for those new to the industry, that The Clothes Horse was started, and run for YEARS, by a woman named Edith Friedman. Katrina worked for Edith and eventually bought the business. But Edith set the tone for quality that Katrina maintains today. The Clothes Horse's rep was firmly established when Katrina took over. It was hers to maintain or destroy and she has stepped up to the plate and continued to keep it fresh, cutting edge and high customer satisfaction and service. Huge cheers for both of these women.

First, I thank you all for taking the time to reply to my question.

After much hemming and hawing, I finally decided to go with Equitex for my new drapes and banner. I contacted them directly, instead of going through a tack shop or rep. They were VERY helpful and patient on the phone and throughout the entire ordering and proofing process.

While they won't be nearly as fancy (because of my own choice) as some of the set-ups they have made (via the photo gallery on their website), I am excited to finally have some new ones. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive!

Great choice !!!! I am sure that you will love the product.

The great thing is that you can add pieces to your setup at any time !

Btw, I work for Equitex ! So please send us lots of photos of your new setup when it's up.
