I have a horse that has a few stitches in his belly. It's has a little bit of drainage but not that much. I am trying to find something that I can spray on the wound to protect it from the fly spray. I have been using SWAT and Alushield. Is there something else that I could use or are those 2 things the best. The SWAT comes off very easy. The AluShield works well but I need something to put on it 2x a day. I'm worried about using it that often. Our vet just said to spray it with the fly spray but I'm worried about the spray burning him without something to protect the tissue. Is there anything else I could try?

I use Vaseline like others use Swat. It's cheaper and more effective, in my opinion. It's worth a shot at least.
