So, I bought this incredibly cute TB gelding off of Craigslist. I could only find 2 things wrong with him - a massive case of hives and a soft lump under the chestnut on his hind leg. He is sound, its not sore, or hot, just - squishy. The chestnut itself is really flat, but does not appear to have been injured.
I'm at a loss as to what to do with it - it hasn't changed in the 3 days I've had him. I've been focused on getting rid of the hives and helping him adjust - he has moved 3 times in a week & had 3 feed changes, and since its not bothering him I'm saving it for last. Its in a lousy place to wrap. Anyone seen this before? Brilliant suggestions for getting rid of it? I don't think its been there long at all - not an old injury, but I could be wrong.
