Okay savy shoppers.... I am looking for a waterford in an eggbutt style, 5 1/4. I have found them in full checks and Dee rings but no eggbutts. Any ideas who may have them? Do "they" even make them? Looking to stay under $80 if possible.
I was not sure where to post this, but figure that my fellow eventers would know;)

Korsteel makes one in 5" and 5.5" for about $30. Can you compromise on the size?

Thanks, do you know who may have it? A 5 is just a bit too small, he would be more comfortable in a 5.5. I checked BOB, dover, stateline, local tack shops, and schneiders plus a few others.

Unless the horse needs a 4 3/4" bit normally, I would get the 5 1/2". I've always read that the waterford should be a little bit bigger than the regular bit size. 5.5" waterford eggbutts are easy to find--I may have one that I'm not using. I'll take a look.

Google. It's your friend. Type in "waterford eggbutt". You'll get literally a dozen links to the same bit at many tack shops. Although personally, among those links, I would choose VTO Saddlery for the good customer service and cheap shipping.
