Well i never done this before..but a co-worker asked me to give it a try....i have this mare that injured herself in a race about 2 months ago..i am the groom of her on a racetrack..and i have been doin my best to have her recover...but my time is ticking ... my boss told me we have to get rid of her..he has no use for her...it just upsets me to know that this horses life can be ended..and all of the work i have put into her...she is so sweet...and i really believe she can be a nice broodmare ...she has some allowances races under her...i really believe she deserves a chance and really i cant take her...cause i dont have any where to put her...
i have been praying to God to send me a guardian angel for her....i am so stressed out about all of this...if there is anyone that can take her in and give her some time off....next year she will be ready to breed...i believe she will make a good broodmare..
i really hope there is someone out there to help...because i believe my boss is going to put her down very soon....

Is this the mare? According to this and equibase she does have some wins. I don't see any super-unique names, but she's not badly bred. When you say hurt, people probably want to know, how much so? Could she be rideable for other disciplines?

citi has a fractured sesamoid....if she has enough time off...she'll make a good riding horse....i do have pics of her..but i cant seem to upload them..i can email them to u if u would like....i have had her for like 3 months since the accident..and she is very happy ....putting a little pressure on the leg....
thank you for ur reply...:)

I just watched her race from 7/10 and that was at Presque Isle Downs in Erie, PA so I guess that's where she is. Chestnut mare, who doesn't love a chestnut mare?

She is also from the mare line of Northern Raja -the sire of a lot of successful show hunters.

She must be a fairly attractive individual, she sold for $25k as a 2 yo in training to trainer Gary Contessa. He has an excellent eye for an athlete.

Here is a link to the sales results on the day that she sold. http://www.fasigtipton.com/results/2006/Midlantic-Two-Year-Olds-In-Training-May-22.asp
