CAlhoun GA, 3 horses, 7 dogs, abandoned.

For lack of room in the title, when I say abandoned, I mean, they are on there own. Older lady owner had a stroke a few days ago and will not be leaving the hospital again. She was able to tell the doctor a few days later about her animals. There are three horses, cant tell you what they look like yet except the neighbor says they are very friendly and in good shape. There are 7 dogs tied up around a trailer, all friendly but hungry.

I am going there tomorrow but................I have no room for anymore horses. I cant squeeze them in anywhere. HELP. Even fostering would be wonderful.

Lori i have two going to the big farm and have two leantoo fields open.if you can get someone to bring them here i will care for them till you say otherwise..or if there old they can live there lives out here...call me if thats what you would like to do whinny

Try contacting Begin Again Farms in Ellerslie, Georgia. I'm not sure how far away Calhoun is, but Begin Again Farms is a horse rescue facility that takes in neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses and ponies -- they even had a burro when I volunteered out there several years ago. They take EXCELLENT care of them; it's an absolutely wonderful facility. It's very possible they'd have room for some of these horses! Contact info is on their website below. Good luck!

There is still one horse to place. The dogs all went north with the puppy caravan, two of the horses were taken by locals but........................there remains one sweet older lady (app 20 yrs.)
