I am looking into a few different stallions for 2010, and I came across Rubinus at Dreamscape Farms. I emailed Jen his owner, but would love to hear from others. Has anyone bred to him?? What is his semen like? Foals? Etc. I am really interested in him, and can't wait to hear back from Jen, but would also like to hear from others on him as well. Thanks!!

We haven't bred to Rubinus but he's on our short list. We have found Jen to be amazingly helpful and will tell you what her boys strong/weak points are. This is Rubinus' first year with Jen so she'll probably refer to his German offspring until she can gather enough of her own stats this coming year. Good luck!

Thanks Kakoda, Jen did get back to me. Rubinus is in training with Leslie Reid now. Nice! She said she will have more video/pictures in September. The mare I am breeding, very much throws the sire. Temperment, movement etc. I know the improvements she needs, hind end/sitting power, and her neck could have a little higher set. I think he will give her all of that. Hopefully anyways! :)

I have a mare in foal to him! I have high hopes for this baby which should be another success as this mare always does with R-line stallions!

Nice stallion! I met him shortly after he got out of quarantine. Very nice mover at liberty. He has a bigger trot than I've seen from other Rubinstein sons. My general impression was very positive. He seems really sweet and friendly, nice uphill neck and expression. I haven't seen him go under saddle yet, but I'm sure I'll be equally impressed. Jen is wonderful to work with and she will give you an honest evaluation of the stallion's suitability for your mare.

We've bred a mare to him this year, and will be likely using him again next year. Very happy with the semen quality, of course Dreamscape is exceptional to deal with. This stallion has a fantastic canter, and I love the dam line.
